ARE MUSHROOMS REALLY GOOD FOR YOU?
Mushrooms are filled with compounds that are incredibly unique and beneficial to our health. WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MYCELIUM AND FRUITING BODIES?
Mushroom supplements consist of one or more of the following: mycelium on grain, pure mycelium, or mushroom fruiting bodies. Studies show the stark differences in compounds present in mycelium versus mushrooms— showing that mushrooms are much higher in potency and chemical variety than mycelium or mycelium on grain. That is why at Mushroom Revival, we stick to only using the actual mushroom fruiting body. Mycelium-only end products often contain grain powder or starch, which creates watered down and less potent product.
Other keywords to look for that indicate the supplement contains mycelium or mycelium on grain: mycelial biomass, mushroom mycelia, myceliated rice, presence of oats/rice or other grains.

WHAT DOES 100% FRUITING BODY MEAN?
When we say 100% fruiting bodies, we mean just that! Mushroom supplements usually consist of mycelium on grain, mushrooms, or a combination of the two. At Mushroom Revival, we stick to only using mushrooms, the fruiting body.

IS THERE ALCOHOL IN YOUR TINCTURES?
Yes — each of our mushrooms are dual-extracted with alcohol and hot water to achieve the highest potency. The overall alcohol amount that you consume is very minimal (about the same amount as you would get from a glass of orange juice) due to the small suggested serving size.
WHAT IS A DOUBLE EXTRACTED TINCTURE?
A double extraction means that the mushroom or herb has been extracted in two different, and usually equally important ways. Most mushrooms and herbs undergo a dual extraction of water, known as decoction, and alcohol, known as tincture. There are other solvents such as oil, glycerin, and vinegar. It’s important to select the appropriate solvents to get the most out of your herbal extraction, and each herb varies in its ideal methods and ratios.
For mushrooms, the beneficial compounds are primarily alcohol-soluble (triterpenes) and water-soluble (beta-glucans). So in order to get full spectrum benefits, it is necessary to do both. At Mushroom Revival, we go the extra mile to extract our mushrooms with alcohol and water, and then carefully combine the two to create a perfect balance and super potent product. Our mushrooms and herbs are also fine tuned to follow the science and extract them at the optimal alcohol percentages, temperatures, and durations.
ARE THERE SIDE-EFFECTS TO TAKING FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOMS?
Functional mushrooms are generally regarded as safe, however if you have reason to be concerned over consuming functional mushroom products, please contact your health practitioner prior to taking supplements.
Common contraindications include blood thinners and insulin medications. If you are taking any medications, having surgery, dealing with other medical conditions, or pregnant, contact your doctor before incorporating our products into your regimen.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I TAKE A MUSHROOM TINCTURE?
While there is no defined ‘dose’ of our tinctures, we suggest 2 dropperfuls (that’s one squeeze of the dropper) each day. You may choose to take more or less, or as needed! These supplements are a matter of personal preference on what you need at that given time.
WHAT IS THE BEST TIME TO TAKE THESE SUPPLEMENTS?
The short answer is any day, any time! When to take these supplements is a matter of personal preference. But some of our formulas and mushrooms are better suited for particular times. For example, our ENERGY blend is a great compliment to your morning to start the day, while our CALM blend is made to support the body during a time when you just need to chill out, whether that be before bed or to support the mid-day stressors. FOCUS is great anytime— in the morning or before bed. FOCUS contains lion’s mane, which is a nourishing mushroom that supports cognition from the most heady activities to the most meditative activities. As for DAILY 10, think of this companion as your multivitamin. It’s there for you whenever you feel called.
HOW MANY OF THESE SUPPLEMENTS CAN I TAKE PER DAY? CAN I COMBINE TINCTURES?
Here at HQ, we take our supplements all day everyday. And you may certainly combine them! Whatever makes sense for your desired state. This is almost entirely a matter of personal preference. Combining supplements can be creative and personalized, but here are some combinations for inspiration:

Some of our mushrooms are wild crafted, the cultivated mushrooms are grown on sawdust enriched with rice bran, but ALL of our mushrooms are grown organically and are USDA Certified Organic! We are certified gluten free and do not use wheat products in any production.
DO YOUR MUSHROOMS UNDERGO HEAVY METAL TESTING, MYCOTOXINS AND OTHER LAB TESTING?
Yes! Every batch we use goes through lab testing to show heavy metals, biological contamination, concentration of main functional compounds such as beta-glucan, alpha-glucan, ganoderic acid, cordycepin, and adenosine to name a few. We want to see the science when it comes to making claims about potency in our supplements, so we make sure to get definitive numbers. ARE FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOMS SAFE TO TAKE DURING PREGNANCY OR NURSING? WHAT ABOUT FOR MY CHILD?

ARE FUNCTIONAL MUSHROOMS SAFE TO GIVE TO MY PET?
Mushrooms are generally regarded as safe and are often shared with our animal friends— although due to the alcohol content of our particular product, be mindful of the size of your furry friend and reduce the serving accordingly. And as always, we recommend consulting your veterinarian for more information.
HOW SHOULD I TAKE YOUR SUPPLEMENTS?
Taking our tinctures by dropping it under the tongue will give maximum potential to be absorbed into the bloodstream, but whatever way is comfortable for you will be effective. This may include putting onto the top of your tongue, in your favorite drink, incorporated into smoothies, coffee, or even cooking! Feel free to get creative — just so long as it goes down the hatch!

DOES YOUR PRODUCT EXPIRE?
Our tinctures are made with organic cane alcohol, which makes it extremely shelf-stable. Generally we recommend that you use up the tincture within 5 years. But, we have a feeling you will like it so much that you will slurp it down far before that time! You can always reference the date on the bottle for the factory expiration date.

MY PACKAGE SEEMS TO HAVE STOPPED MOVING.
If your package stops moving at any point, do not fret! It is still on its way to you and is likely just clearing customs. Occasionally, there may be delays due to customs or weather events. If this happens, your tracking page will be updated with the latest shipping status.
